After a career in Software, I retired from Lotus Development/IBM and devoted myself fulltime to my life-long passion for art. Although I had always experimented with and taken classes in different mediums, it was oil painting that struck a resonant chord.
I found oil painting to be an immersion into a new way of seeing and creating that felt both completely new and familiar at the same time. I paint in oil from life, and find the challenge of capturing the beauty of nature and the figure teaches me to see and appreciate the beauty more intensely. I love the process of painting – the process of seeing, finding, moving color, line and shape.
I currently study with Landscape Artist David P. Curtis on Cape Ann. I have also studied with Jason Polins at the Polins Atelier, and taken workshops with Amy Brnger, Jill Banks, Stapleton Kearns and Leo Mancini-Hresko.
